Spaghetti Tower

Non-Consumables:

• Tape
• Measuring Tape / Ruler  
• Hot glue (optional)
• Scissors (optional)

Consumables (per team):

• 20 spaghetti noodles
• 1 large marshmallow

Discuss the Challenge:  

• What’s the Goal? The goal of the activity will make the tallest tower out of just spaghetti and tape that can hold a single large marshmallow at the top. The team with the tallest tower that holds a marshmallow on top wins!

Plan (5 minutes)

Give students a set amount of time to plan.  

Build (10 minutes)

Give students a set amount of time to build.

Recommendation: give longer times for younger students!

Final Measure

Leave time for you, the teacher, to judge their towers! Who wins?!
