Students will learn about earthquakes and seismograph technology. From there, students will be put in pairs to create their own seismograph with craft material.

Scissors
String (full ball of string to share among all students)
Coloured markers (shared)
Clear tape (shared)

Consumables (per student/pair):

1 Medium cardboard box
1 paper or plastic cup
1 sheet of printer paper
1-2 handfuls of marbles (enough to fill up most of the cup)
